Conferences and exhibitions

The NRW Nano Conference, Germany's largest conference in the field of nanotechnologies, is taking place for the 10th time this year. Experts from science, industry and politics will meet for two days in Dortmund to discuss the research and application of nanotechnologies. The Fraunhofer IST is participating in the scientific program of the conference with a booth at the technical exhibition and a poster presentation.

Tristan Brückner is presenting a poster on "Self-Organizing Ti-Si-B-C-N Nanocomposite Coatings for Wear Reduction" and will introduce a process for surface modification by means of the application of a nanocomposite thin film which increases both thermal stability and oxidation resistance and thus enables nanocomposite wear protection coatings to be produced at high deposition rates.
