Events

It's already the third ”Salon der Wissenschaft” (engl.: salon of science) taking place in Braunschweig, enabling the dialogue between science and society and turning science into a tangible experience for all those who are interested.

The event does not focus on traditional lectures, but instead offers direct interpersonal exchange. In several parallel rounds, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss topics such as sustainability, climate protection, digitalization, healthcare, mobility and education in person with researchers from the Braunschweig area. Those who are not actively involved in the discussions can join via headphones and listen in. In this way, research from the region can be discussed in a varied, personal and detailed manner.

Once again, this year over 30 scientists from a wide range of research institutions in the Braunschweig region will be taking part in the Salon der Wissenschaft. The event is organized by the ForschungRegion Brauschweig e.V. and the city of Braunschweig.

The Fraunhofer IST is initiating an innovation centre in Helmstedt in cooperation with Wirtschaftsregion Helmstedt GmbH and other local partners from business, research and politics. The aim is to establish new projects on technologies and services for the energy transition, the circular economy and sustainable digital agriculture in order to promote value creation in the region.
