Future Platform 24 will take place in Berlin from October 7 to October 8, 2024. The event of the German Centre for Micropollutants (SZB) took place for the first time last October and showed how important the dialogue between manufacturers, water management, authorities, science and society is for reducing the input of micropollutants into water bodies.

This year, the conference will focus on the current debate on the amendment of the Urban Wastewater Directive (UWWD), source-side measures to reduce trace substances in water and the Zero Pollution Ambition.

The programme offers insights into innovative technical and methodological approaches to reducing trace substance inputs. Presentations and discussion rounds will bring in perspectives from the municipal to the federal level as well as from the European Commission. There will also be plenty of room for personal dialogue and networking. The event will be planned and realised together with stakeholders, and all interested parties from industry, science, authorities, politics and associations are invited to actively participate and exchange their positions.
