Conferences and exhibitions

This year's INNOspace annual conference will take place on November 5, 2024 in Bonn. The event brings together players from the aerospace, automotive, agriculture and healthcare sectors. The aim of the INNOspace initiative is to promote the transfer of knowledge and technologies between the space sector and other industries and to exploit and further develop synergies. To this end, there are three networks - Space2Motion, Space2Agriculture and Space2Health, which each represent an exchange platform between the aerospace and the automotive, agriculture or health sectors. The initiative is part of the “National Program for Space and Innovation” of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK).

In addition to keynote speeches from all four areas, the conference will also feature a Gong Show, in which projects and success stories from the networks will be presented, as well as an accompanying exhibition. Workshops will also be held on the topics of autonomous driving, AI-supported decision-making and resilience.

Dr. Andreas Dietz, expert in electrochemical processes and surface technology for the aerospace industry at the Fraunhofer IST, is part of the Space2Motion network. At the annual conference, he will give a presentation on his results from the “Ferrotherm” project, in which he and his team are working on resource extraction on the moon.
