15th "Niedersächsische Summer School" fuel cells and batteries

Attention students, graduates and young professionals! The “Niedersächsische Summer School” offers practical career preparation for young scientists as it deals with issues that are highly relevant in industry and research.

This year, the focus is on fuel cells and batteries. These topics are particularly relevant regarding the energy transition, which requires new forms of power generation and storage.

Participants can expect an exciting week in the field of electrochemistry. Experts from science and industry will introduce the basics of electrochemistry as well as PEM fuel cells and battery technology and examine their applications. In addition to this, the Summer School offers a varied supporting program such as a barbecue evening, a discussion evening with various lecturers and representatives from industry, a city tour of Brunswick and a full-day excursion to PowerCo.

This year's Summer School is being organized by CUTEC (TU Clausthal) in cooperation with the Battery LabFactory Braunschweig (BLB) and the Energy Research Centre of Lower Saxony (EFZN).

Prof Dr.-Ing. Sabrina Zellmer from the Fraunhofer IST will give insights on the topic of polymer electrolyte membranes and MEAs for PEMFCs as part of the Summer School's diverse program.
