Summit / March 19, 2025 - March 20, 2025
3rd European Automotive Decarbonization and Sustainability Summit 2025
The 3rd European Automotive Decarbonization and Sustainability Summit is entering its third round – on March 19 and 20, 2025, the most important players from the automotive industry, political decision-makers, researchers and environmentalists will come together again at the summit to discuss the latest advances in decarbonization technologies. The event is thus making an important contribution to the conversion of the automotive sector to sustainable processes and technologies, which is particularly important in the context of climate change and the associated EU regulations for the reduction of CO2 emissions.
In addition to the topics of electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cells, the Summit will also focus on innovative approaches to sustainable manufacturing and recycling of automotive materials. The event goes beyond the mere exchange of knowledge and provides numerous opportunities for networking and discussion. Furthermore, workshops will be offered.
Prof. Dr. Stephan Krinke from the Fraunhofer IST will give a speech on the decarbonization of the automotive value chain as an expert in sustainability management and life cycle engineering. He will highlight tools and methods for a life-cycle-oriented vehicle design in the early development phase. He will also provide a strategic overview of different decarbonization measures, their technological readiness level and the associated decarbonization costs. This strategic framework enables OEM and suppliers to calculate the costs of reducing CO2 emissions and implement a decarbonization roadmap.
